What We Believe

Local, organic, natural, sustainable, grass fed, humanely raised.  It seems like there is no shortage of feel good words being attached to food these days to describe some attribute that will make it better or make you feel better about eating it!  What do they all mean?  We don’t know either!

definitionsAt Pine Hill Lamb there are two words that are important to us: stockmanship and stewardship.   You can read our vision and mission to see what we are working towards and how we do it but at the end of the day it all comes down to these words. Quality lamb begins with quality care and we accept personal responsibility for the care and humane treatment of our animals.  Our success is dependent on our natural resources and protecting, conserving and improving the land, air and water are not only the right thing to do but a cornerstone of our foundation as a sustainable agricultural business.  We require the same commitment to animal care and stewardship from others farmers and suppliers that we work with.

The other big word around here is Integrity. We earn our reputation and build our relationships by adhering to the highest ethical standards and conduct.  Trust and personal responsibility are the foundations of all our relationships.  We do what is right, no matter what.

Take care of our animals, take care of the environment and do what we say.  It’s really pretty simple and as a mother, wife and lamb lover it is important to me because I’m feeding not only my family but yours and I take that responsibility seriously.
